Ingredients
  

  • 5 ounces ground turkey, preferably 93% lean
  • 2 teaspoons plain breadcrumbs or quick oats
  • 1 teaspoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon finely grated onion, or 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika or sweet paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine salt
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • Oil spray or 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 burger bun
  • Optional: lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard, sliced cheese, or avocado

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  2. Mix the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, ketchup, onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper gently.
  3. Shape into one 4-inch patty about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick, with a shallow dimple in the center.
  4. Lightly oil the basket or use a small approved parchment square.
  5. Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 9 to 12 minutes, flipping carefully after 6 minutes.
  6. Check that the thickest part reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Rest for 2 minutes, toast the bun if desired, and assemble.
