Air Fryer Salmon For One

Air fryer salmon for one gives you a flaky single fillet in about 10 minutes, with simple seasoning and no leftover fish.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 salmon fillet, 5 to 6 ounces, skin-on or skinless
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika or sweet paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Lemon wedge, for serving
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon chopped parsley or dill

Method
 

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for 3 minutes.
  2. Pat the salmon dry.
  3. Mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Rub the seasoning over the top and sides of the salmon.
  5. Place the salmon in the basket, skin-side down if using skin-on salmon.
  6. Air fry at 390°F (200°C) for 7 to 9 minutes.
  7. Check that the thickest part reaches 145°F (63°C), or that the flesh is opaque and flakes easily.
  8. Rest for 2 minutes and serve with lemon.

Notes

Timing assumes a 5- to 6-ounce center-cut salmon fillet about 1 inch thick.
Thinner pieces may cook faster.
