Ingredients

  • 4 ounces about 115 g fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil 5 ml
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine salt or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice 5 ml, added after cooking

Equipment

  • 2-quart or larger basket air fryer
  • Clean kitchen towel
  • small mixing bowl
  • measuring spoons
  • tongs

Method

  1. Trim and rinse green beans under running water. Pat very dry with a clean towel.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 375 F (190 C) if the model requires it. Toss the beans with olive oil, garlic powder and salt.
  3. Spread in one loose layer. Air fry at 375 F (190 C) for an estimated 7 to 9 minutes, shaking or turning halfway. Begin checking at 6 minutes; stop when tender-crisp with a few browned spots.
  4. Transfer with tongs, add lemon juice after cooking and serve the entire portion warm.

Notes

Cooking time varies by bean thickness and air fryer; check early and add short intervals as needed.
Dry beans thoroughly and avoid crowding. This timing is for fresh beans, not frozen.
