Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups bite-size fresh broccoli florets and tender stems about 100 g
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil 5 ml
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon fine salt or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice 5 ml, added after cooking

Equipment

  • 2-quart or larger basket air fryer
  • Clean kitchen towel
  • small mixing bowl
  • measuring spoons
  • tongs

Method

  1. Rinse the broccoli under running water. Cut florets into similar bite-size pieces, trim thick stems smaller and pat thoroughly dry.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 390 F (about 200 C) if the model requires it. Toss dry broccoli with olive oil, garlic powder and salt.
  3. Spread in one loose layer. Air fry at 390 F (about 200 C) for an estimated 6 to 8 minutes, shaking halfway. Begin checking at 5 minutes; stop when stems are tender and tips lightly brown, not black.
  4. Transfer to a plate, drizzle with lemon juice and let cool briefly. Serve the whole portion to one person.
